But, Senior Corkey Stiger took over and at the half, Washburn leads 40-24.Stiger leads all scorers with 16 followed by junior guard Jessica Mainz with nine on the strength of a perfect 3-3 from beyond the arc.Western is led so far by senior point guard Chemia Woods with seven. Behind her there are three players with four. Washburn also holds a 21-13 edge on the glass.For Western to climb back into this game, someone besides Woods has to contribute offensively. Senior Yanique Javois, Western’s leading scorer this year has just two points.
