9-17-2008HarassmentSpiva Library

Students reported a fellow student harassing them. The student stated they had been left flower petals on the table they were studying at in Spiva Library. After approximately 45 minutes, the suspect returned to the area and spoke with the victim, noting that they had thrown the petals in the trash. The suspect asked the victim if they were planning to press charges, the victim stated she didn’t have time to sue anyone. While the security officer was interviewing the victim, a fellow faculty member informed the officer that this was not the first incident involving this suspect leaving flower petals for another student. The officer gathered reports and escorted the victims to their cars. DPS is continuing the investigation.

A student reported damage to their vehicle while it was parked in Lot 25. The student discovered the vertical crease in the rear passenger side of the vehicle on Sept. 17, 2008. The student found gray paint on the damaged area.

9-21-2008TheftGockel Hall

Kappa Alpha fraternity contacted campus security regarding the theft of their large wooden KA letters. Campus security searched the area and discovered the K beneath the gazebo, disassembled; The letter A was not recovered.
