Agee honored for service at Southern

One of Missouri Southern’s own is named as one of the area’s most influential women.

Dr. Terri Agee, senior vice president, will be honored today during a luncheon award ceremony at Mythos Banquet Center inside the Joplin La Quinta Inn. She and nine others will be featured in the Sept. 22 edition of Joplin Tri-State Business.

Agee is recognized for her role in the community and at Missouri Southern. Last fall during the presidential search she served as Southern’s interim president.

The Joplin Tri-State Business, a biweekly business newspaper, profiled 10 women out of the more than 250 nominations. The other honorees are: Sharon Beshore, chairwoman of the Missouri Arts Council and Cultural Trust; Christine Fogliasso, university professor at Pittsburg (Kan.) State University; Dr. Mindi Garner, a Pittsburg-based physician; Terri Heckmaster; executive director of the Freeman Foundation; Sue Joslen, administrator of St. Luke’s Nursing Center in Carthage; Rhonda Justice-Neal, owner of Just Us Girls; Kim Lester, operations director for the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce; Ruth Kolpin Rubison, president of Ruth I. Kolpin Enterprises LLC; and Teddy Steen, regional sales manager for CableOne Advertising.
