A masquerade ball is set for 7 p.m. Nov. 12 in the Billingsly Ballroom. The event is intended to raise pay for new ghost hunting equipment.

The MoSo Ghost Hunters will hold a Harvest Moon Masquerade Ball on Nov. 12.

“The Harvest Moon Masquerade Ball is a fundraiser for the MoSo Ghost Hunters,” Lauren Woodall, junior psychology major and secretary for the MoSo Ghost Hunters, said.

“We lost a lot of equipment in the tornado and are trying to replace it,” she said.

The masquerade and will cost $10 for students with their student ID and $15 for non-students.

Woodall said that proceeds from the event will go towards the club’s travel expenses, equipment replacement, batteries and other needs that they have.

“We also hope to become a self-sustaining club because right now all the money is coming out of our own pockets,” Woodall said.

The masquerade will be a formal attire dance and, like all masquerade balls, masks are required.

“Our plan is to hand out masks at the door for $1.00 to those who don’t have one, and we are also trying to set up a booth for people to decorate their masks as well,” Woodall said.

“MoSo Ghost Hunters are active in the community and we would like more people involved,” Woodall said.

The Harvest Moon Masquerade Ball will take place in the Billingsly Ballroom from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
