11:20 p.m.
DPS was contacted after a hit-and-run.
The damaged vehicle had an eight-inch by 30-inch scrape across the rear bumper.
There were no witnesses to the incident.

8:45 a.m.
A DPS officer was contacted after a vehicle almost hit a person using the crosswalk near Lot 39.
The subject said the driver was not paying attention to the road and was talking on a cell phone.
The subject said he believed he could have been hit had he not yelled at the driver.
Property Destruction
10/16/2004
1:20 p.m.
An officer opened Young Gymnasium for a practice and noticed the window leading to the men’s and women’s locker rooms had been broken.
The officer then checked the building and let the squad in afterward.
A University official later called DPS to check on the window. He said there had been activity in the area the night before and the window could have been broken at that time.
There are no suspects.
Sick Student

1:45 p.m.
DPS officers were contacted in reference to a sick student in the Anderson Criminal Justice Center.
The student had the flu earlier in the week and had been treated for dehydration.
The student became ill during class and went to the restroom where she passed out.
An ambulance was called and the student was checked out by students in the paramedics class, but she refused to go to the hospital.
She suffered no injuries.
