Broken lock lends way to stolen books

A student contacted the Department of Public Safety in regard to a theft.
The student said two books had been stolen from a locker in Ummel Hall.
He said the locker had been moved and the lock broken.
The student had waited to contact the DPS because he thought the books would be found.Property Destruction12/6/2004Noon
DPS was contacted in regard to damage to a vehicle.
The owner of the vehicle said the damage had occurred when the vehicle was parked in lot 11.
An officer looked at the damage and noted two scratches at the top of the vehicle.
There are no suspects in the case.
