A Department of Public Safety officer was checking Leggett & Platt Athletic Center when he found a pair of cleats near the parking lot. He continued checking and found a trash bag of football jerseys and cleats. He placed the items in a laundry room, where he found more shoes and items.

Fire

2:25 p.m.

A DPS officer was dispatched to Leggett & Platt in reference to a fire.

There, he found a microwave with a destroyed VCR sitting on top of it. A bag of popcorn had caught fire in the microwave.

Property Destruction

12:58 a.m.

While on patrol, a DPS officer found unlocked doors at Leggett & Platt and did a walk-through. The officer found a glass door had been shattered. The door was intact and secure. The officer placed his business card on the door to report the incident.

Domestic Violence

10:05 a.m.

Two DPS officers were called to Lot 39. Upon their arrival, they found a man and a woman arguing. They separated the two and called Joplin Police Department. Both had sustained injuries. JPD then arrived, and the man was arrested.
