Golf finishes in fifth place
Finishing fifth in the tournament, the Missouri Southern golf team competed in the NCAA Division II Central Regional Tournament held May 1-3 in Lockport, Ill.
The Lions shot a combined 896, 31 strokes behind the leader, Winona (Minn.) State University.
Sophomore Ben Perry was the Lions’ top finisher. He tied for sixth overall with a three-round score of 218. Tyler Goecker and Tommy Clifford, both juniors, tied for 17th place. They shot 225 in the tournament.
This tournament completed the season.
