Tennis shoes go missing in East Hall



12:50 p.m.

The Department of Public Safety was contacted in reference to a theft in East Hall.

A student said someone had entered his room and taken three pair of sneakers.

The student said he had left the room, and the door was locked.

When he returned, he found the sneakers missing.



1:50 p.m.

A DPS officer was contacted to Young Gymnasium in reference to a theft.

A student reported her purse was missing after she left it alone for a few minutes.

The purse contained credit cards and a check book.

The Joplin Police Department was contacted.

Property Destruction


9:00 p.m.

Maintenance reported a broken window in Headlee Hall.

A DPS officer went to the scene and contacted a student involved in the incident.

The student said he and other students were playing soccer and kicked a ball into the window.

The window was temporarily fixed.



9:30 p.m.

A DPS officer responded to a report of vandalism to a vehicle outside of Dishman Hall.

The vehicle had toilet paper thrown on it as well as a broken recliner placed on the roof.

There were no witnesses and no suspects at the time.
