Football ends winning season 7-3 with victory over Pitt State
“Our kids turned tragedy into victory and no one can ever take that away from them,” said Head Football Coach Daryl Daye, in an interview after the Lions 35-21 victory over Pitt State for the first time since 1993 and for the first time at Carnie Smith Stadium in 30 years. The Lions bring the Miner’s Bowl trophy back to Missouri Southern for the first time in 20 years.
“Everybody in Joplin who is listening, Go buy something with Missouri Southern Green & Gold and put it up in your shop window or in your business and let’s represent,” said Daye
