Bella and Gigi Hadid, two of Victoria Secret’s most popular models, pose in the brand’s signature pink robes. The models both made appearances on the catwalk during the show.

The Angels made their way to our television screens Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2016, for the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show filmed in the fashion capital of the world, Paris, France, on Nov. 30, 2016.

The show which featured musical guests, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, and The Weeknd was full of thigh highs, Instagram faces, and the largest wings to ever hit the Victoria’s Secret stage.

The show consisted of six different themed catwalks, including the Dark Angel set, and the Bright Night Angel finale.

52 models walked down the various runway sets, of these models only twelve have the Angel title. To be an Angel is one of the highest achievements a model can achieve. When a model signs the Angel contract it does require more work with Victoria’s Secret, but the amount of recognition these models receive trumps any other fashion production.

Models including Victoria Secret veteran Joan Smalls, who wore a pair of 7-foot-long wings, beings the largest wings to ever walk down the catwalk, and Jasmine Tookes, who became an Angel last year, wore this year’s $3 million Fantasy Bra, that took over 700 hours to construct, have said, “Victoria’s Secret has changed my life.”

Model, Josephine Skriver, who has been an Angel since her debut on the runway in 2011 said, “Every model dreams about putting on their first pair of wings.”

Models Devon Windsor, Kendall Jenner, and sisters, Bella and Gigi Hadid all achieved their angel status following this year’s production, making it safe to say we will continue to see these Instagram girls grace the covers of A-List magazines, and leave their footprints on the runways all around the haute couture world.
