The NBA season is just over halfway over the playoffs are right around the corner and that is when the NBA season starts to get even more exciting. This year there are many teams with great players that are in the running for winning a possible championship, but I personally don’t think there will be a new team winning a championship anytime soon. I think the Golden State Warriors are going to continue to dominate the playoffs and win another championship for the city of Oakland. In the past two years the Warriors have dominated the league and brought home two NBA Championships. After obtaining Kevin Durant in free agency the Warriors have been unbeatable when it comes to the playoffs.

The Warriors have elite players on their whole team but their starting five is hard to beat. Steph Curry playing the point guard position who is right now the greatest shooter of all time. Klay Thompson who is a great defender and can shoot lights out from anywhere on the floor, Kevin Durant who is 6’10 and unstoppable from all levels, Draymond Green who is a person that brings an amazing amount of energy to the team, and Demarcus Cousins who has recently just gotten back from an injury but is starting to get back to being one of the best centers in the league. Not to mention their coach, Steve Kerr, who is a great illustration of someone who has game like experience and knows how to coach his players.

In 2015 the Golden State Warriors were able to win their first championship since 1975 being led by veteran guard who showed up to play throughout the playoffs. In 2017 the Warriors won another championship led by Kevin Durant and in 2018 the Warriors were led to another championship by Steph Curry and Kevin Durant. This year the Warriors hold a record of 41-16 holding the 1 spot in the Western conference standings. I don’t think the question is will the Warriors win another championship, I think the question is, can anyone stop the Warriors? There is no team in the NBA that matches up against the Warriors and has a possible All-Star in every position on the floor. The team is also led by veterans such as Andre Iguodala, and Shaun Livingston who play a great amount of minutes coming off the bench.

There are great teams in the NBA but the Warriors will outplay any team they come against in the playoffs just like they have the past couple years. Steph Curry will continue to put pressure on teams with his ability to shoot and pass, and Thompson and Durant will continue to play good solid defense and score at will against any defender. It’s possible for the Warriors to not win another championship, but in my eyes I see nothing but a three-peat coming to Golden State.

After taking a look at Parkers arguments, I totally disagree with his statement. I do believe that the Golden State Warriors are one of the greatest teams that the NBA has ever seen, but that doesn’t mean that they can three championships in a row. In the last four seasons the Warriors would have to face off LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, but LeBron is now a Los Angeles Laker and the Warriors don’t have to worry about him this year. The team that they should be worried about is the Milwaukee Bucks who are currently the top seed in the Eastern Conference.

 The Warriors may have a couple elite players to their roster, but none of them can compare to Giannis Antetokounmpo. Giannis is one of Milwaukee’s greatest assets. He stands at 7 feet tall, and is averaging 27.2 points, 12.7 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game this season. His ability to dribble the ball, his speed, and his violent dunks makes him an unstoppable player. Looking at this basketball player, the Golden State Warriors are going to have a problem guarding him.   

The Bucks may not have an All-Star roster, but they do have well experienced veterans that makes the chemistry to their game unbeatable. Starting for the Bucks, it consisted with two All-stars on their team, which was power forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and small forward Kris Middleton. Their three other starters were point guard Eric Bledsoe, point guard Malcolm Brogdon, and center Brook Lopez. They don’t have the best players in the league, but I believe they know how to play together.  

The warriors to me is a team just full of super stars. They have really talented players, but it is hard to get a super team to play together. I have to admit, they have won three championships in the last four years. They have proven to be a dominant team in the NBA, but that can’t last forever. The Warriors just don’t play together like the Bucks have this season. The Milwaukee Bucks are the under dogs in the NBA, because in the past they have been one of the worst teams in the NBA, but things are different this year. Giannis normally puts on a one-man show, but the rest of his team are also a threat to other teams.  

Parker thinks that the Warriors are going to win another NBA Championship this year, but I think it will be the Bucks will meet them at the Finals and winning this year to end Golden States streak. Giannis is also running in the race to be named the MVP of the league, but I just don’t see anyone being able to guard the “Greek Freak”. You watch, the Bucks are going to amaze people!
