CAB to host Talent Show

The Campus Activities Board (CAB) will be accepting applications for the upcoming talent show starting Monday. The show will give students a chance to showcase their talent.

“We really don’t like to limit the type of act,” said Craig Gullett, coordinator of student activities. “We’ve had everything from comedians, clogging, belly-dancing, rap—a lot of singers. Basically we want to see what the talents are.”

Potential acts will have to go through an audition, to ensure quality and appropriate content, and accepted applicants will then be eligible for cash prizes. First place will receive $300, second place $200 and $100 will go to third. Roughly 15 acts are accepted and the show will be judged by faculty and staff.

The show will be held on March 11, at 7 p.m. in Taylor Auditorium and will be hosted by nationally touring comedian, Michael Malone.

Students can pick up an application in the Student Activities Office in Billingsly. The deadline for applications is Feb. 21, at 5 p.m.
