On April 29 and 30, the election of Student Senate Executive Officers for the 2014-15 school year will take place.

In order for students to run for one of the four positions that include president, vice president, secretary and treasurer, students must pick up a petition from the Student Affairs Office in Billingsly Student Center room 347.

The petitions will be available April 14 and must be returned to Student Affairs by 5 p.m. on April 18 to be included on the ballot.

The Student Senate Constitution Revisons will also be on the Student Senate ballot.

Qualifications for Executive Officers:

President and Vice President:

-Enroll as a regular full-time student (12 hrs or more at MSSU)

-Achieve a 2.5 or better cumulative GPA

-Complete at least credit 60 hours (30 at MSSU) prior to taking office

-Have served at least two semesters on the Student Senate

Secretary and Treasurer:

-Enroll as a regular full-time student (12 hrs or more at MSSU)

-Achieve a 2.5 or better cumulative GPA

-Complete at least 30 credit hours prior to taking office

-Have served at least one semester on the Student Senate
