Joplin High School Ribbon Cutting

At six and a half miles long, the dedication ribbon stands to set a world record. The record was previously set by New Jersey after a five and a half mile ribbon was used for a portion of the opening of the Jersey Shore, which had been devastated by hurricane Sandy. The ribbon used for the JHS dedication was expected to cost $11,500. Funds of which were donated and not a cost of the schools or citizens of the community, said CJ Huff, Superintendent of Joplin School.
