For the second straight season the Missouri Southern women’s basketball team is in the NCAA tournament.

The Lions enter the tournament this year as a 3 seed earning one of the automatic bids as the MIAA conference champion.

The Lions enter the tournament on a 6 game win streak beating three other tournament teams in the process in Pittsburgh State, Nebraska-Kearney, and Central Missouri.

The Lions enter the tournament averaging 71.2 points a game, while only giving up 58 points a game with a scoring margin of 13.2 points per game.

The leading scorer for the Lions is Lacy Stokes who averages 16.6 points per game. The assist leader for the Lions is also Lacy Stokes who averages 5.2 assists per game. The leading rebounder for the Lions is Madi Stokes who averages 8.7 rebounds per game.

In the first round of the tournament the 3 seeded Lions will take on the 6 seeded Augustana Vikings this Friday March 10th at 12pm in Duluth, Minnesota.
