This week, Missouri Western celebrates its Homecoming against the Bearcats of Southwest Baptist University. The Griffons are coming off a much-needed victory against Fort Hays State, winning that contest rather easily. Meanwhile, the Bearcats are coming off a loss to the Truman State Bulldogs and still searching for that elusive first victory of the 2007 season.

So far this year the Bearcats have underachieved in just about every facet of the game. This year for the Bearcats has been one to forget, especially after their embarrassing loss to Northwest Missouri State in which they gave up 86 points. Last week wasn’t any better, as they gave up 55 points.

This week doesn’t look to get any better for the Bearcats as they face an offense that averages 34.5 points per game. With the high-powered and athletic Griffon offense, Western should have no problem.
