After facing back to back top ten opponents the Lions are faced with the an improved Emporia State team this Saturday in Emporia.

The Hornets lone loss this season came against MIAA newcomer University of Nebraska – Omaha.

Saturday should be an interesting battle of momentum as the Lions try and establish some after two straight losses.

The hornets will try and keep momentum to surpass last season’s win count, three, just five games into the season.

The lion defense should be well adjusted to defending the spread offense, but Emporia will add another wrinkle to watch out for as they’ve switched to an exclusive no-huddle spread.

For the third straight week the Lions will have to face off against a mobile, dual-threat quarterback. This weeks threat, Andre Sloan El has passed for 594 yards on the season with five touch downs on top of 205 yards of running with 3 more dashes into the end zone.
