Symphony to feature German music

Under the direction of Dr. Kexi Liu, the Southern Symphony Orchestra will perform the Deutsche Meisterwerke, an all-German concert. Angie Chen will perform with the Southern Symphony as a featured soloist. She is a graduate of Curtis Institute of Music, Juilliard School, and Yale University. She has performed with various orchestras in America and China. She will perform the “Orchestra Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in E Minor by Mendelssohn.” The program also includes “Beethoven’s Symphony No.5.” The concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Fri. Nov. 14 in Taylor Performing Arts Center. Admission will be free.
