At 1:15 a.m. a DPS officer saw two suspicious teenagers in a field carrying trash bags. When they saw the officer they tried to hide. When the officer pursued they dropped the trash bags and ran. The bags were full of sodas stolen from the stadium. The perpetrators were not caught.

10-2-2009Injured PersonTaylor Performing Arts Center

At 11:40 a.m. DPS responded to a knee injury. The student was practicing theatrical speaking when his left knee popped. Students applied ACE bandages and ice. A private car transported him to Urgent Care.

Injured PersonBilling sly Student Center

At 1:30 p.m. DPS responded to a head injury. A construction worker was walking out the door when the wind slammed the door into his head. He suffered cuts, swelling, and bleeding. His supervisor took him to Freeman’s OccuMed for treatment.

10-4-2009AssaultLot 25

At 2:35 p.m. DPS responded to an assault in lot 25. They found a woman lying on the ground. Her boyfriend had thrown her to the ground. She hit her head on the curb and was knocked unconscious. She revived before DPS responded. She was taken by ambulance to St. John’s Hospital. The perpetrator was arrested.

At 3:50 p.m. there was a traffic accident in lot 23. No injuries were reported.

A woman was running through the green room in high heels when she twisted her right ankle. She was taken by private vehicle to St. John’s MediQuick for treatment.

Property DestructionLot 24

At 12:45 a.m. a woman reported damage on her car. The car had a dent and scrape that seemed to be caused by a car door. There were no witnesses.

At 12:34 a.m. DPS responded to a trespassing call. They found a man asleep in the hallway of East hall. He is not a student. DPS learned he had an active warrant and arrested him. He was turned over to JPD, and banned from campus.
