A soccer ball memorial is found on the back fence of the varsity soccer field. The memorial bears the initials JH and the dates 1986*2009. The memorial is for former soccer player Jon Hansen. Hansen died on campus while in the middle of pick-up basketball game due to inflammation of the heart. Hansen, a red shirt junior, was also an all-conference goalkeeper.
