Presidential applicants still being reviewed

The Presidential Search Committee has reviewed all of the 48 applications submitted to date for the vacant president position at Missouri Southern.

“We have reviewed them all and removed the ones that do not qualify or did not meet our standards,” said student representative Raymond Dunaway, freshman accounting major.

As of April 30, the search committee has sent questionnaires to applicants who met the required qualifications and standards set by the committee. Applicants have a week to return the questionnaire.

“From there, we will go forward and start the phone interview process,” said Dunaway. “Hopefully within the next month—by the beginning of June—we will be able to submit the list of finalists to the Board of Governors.”

Until the list of finalists is announced, applicants will remain confidential. According to Dunaway, the committee has been working diligently to keep the process moving forward.

“The members of this committee are second to none. They have worked hard,” said Dunaway.
