The first pitch at the new Lions baseball stadium was thrown out by Director of Athletics Jared Bruggeman. University President, Dr. Alan Marble also threw a ceremonial first pitch to start off the game. The Lions swept Upper Iowa State in a 2-0 series winning 4-3 in the first game, and 6-0 in the second.
