Kappa Alpha Order’s 5K took place on Sunday on Missouri Southern’s campus. All the proceeds went to benefit a charity supporting muscular dystrophy, a debilitating disease that causes weakness and loss of mass in the muscles. Most sufferers of MD are afflicted with it their entire lives, and many lose the ability to walk, swallow, or even breathe. Kappa Alpha Order raised over $2,000 towards research and awareness for the disease.
