On Sept. 26, the Missouri Southern’s women’s soccer team took on the Truman State Bulldogs at Bodon Field.

With a goal by Ellen Wright in the 27th minute, the Bulldogs defeated the Lions, 1-0, continuing its undefeated record.

Trevor Wachsman, women’s head coach, said TSU is ranked No. 3 in the nation.

He said the Bulldogs only blemish this season is the tie against the Lions on Sept. 6.

“We were able to do a lot of things we’ve been working on,” Wachsman said. “We were able to play the way we wanted to play.”

He said he thought the team played really well.

Washburn University will be the next challenge for the Lions. That game will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Bodon Field.

Then the Lions play Northeastern (Oklahoma) State University 5 p.m. Wednesday also at Bodon Field.

“We’re going into every game with a lot of confidence and expecting to do well,” Wachsman said.

He said after NSU, all games will be MIAA conference games.
