A Department of Public Safety officer was contacted to Leggett & Platt

Athletic Center in reference to two abandoned bicycles.

The bicycles had been lying beside the sidewalk for more than four weeks.

The items were taken to the lost and found office at the physical plant.

1:30 p.m.

A student contacted the DPS after finding someone had tampered with his vehicle.

The student reported a missing gas cap and condoms on the radio antenna and hood.

The student had no suspects.

6:30 p.m.

DPS was contacted about a debris fire in the back of a pickup truck in lot #1.

An officer arrived and found a witness to the fire. The witness had attempted to remove a burning blanket and put out the fire, but the blanket was still smoldering upon the officer’s arrival.

The officer put the fire out with an extinguisher and left a note for the owner of the vehicle.

There was no response.
