Despite other plans, God influences student’s plans in Missouri

At first I was totally against transferring to Missouri Southern.

However, when God tells me to do something, I try to do my best at it.

I was never a fan of Southern, even though I grew up around Joplin.

I was always a Kansas fan.

I liked both the Pitt State Gorillas and the University of Kansas Jayhawks.

Coming to what Pitt State called “Joplin JuCo” was a bit of a reach for me.

Obviously, the reach has been made. So now I will talk about what I need to.

I have since found people often come against me because of what I believe.

The truth is, it does not get to me. I know and stand strong in what I believe.

People could say I am narrow minded, and they would be right.

It is not a bad thing.

Jesus Christ died on a cross 2,000 years ago.

I believe that.

He died on the cross wiping away my sins saving me from hell. These things are what I base everything I believe in.

This is the point where I believe people start to come against me.

The difference between all Christianity and other religions is this idea about Jesus.

The real truth is Jesus is The Way, The Truth and The Life. The only way to get to heaven is through accepting Jesus Christ as the Son of God, and that He died on the cross to take away our sins.

We can accept two plus two equals four as an absolute, and we accept the sun will rise.

However, we cannot accept Jesus Christ as an absolute. Even with scientific proof Jesus did walk this Earth, when the Bible says He did, we still cannot accept Him.

If you do not believe there is proof, research it. We are university students so we can research, and Google is a good thing.

The Word of God is solid in what it says.

I have seen people say it is wrong to kill, but it is OK to lie. Even our own constitution stands on the ideas of God’s Law. It is wrong in the United States to kill someone. It is also wrong to steal. These things were taken from the Bible.

I do not claim to be perfect. If I did, you would probably have seen me on national television before you saw the mug shot just to left. My goal here is not to make anyone angry or annoyed, but to hopefully have us all think about what we are doing. Besides being a full-time student I am also a licensed minister.

I work with City of Refuge Ministries. Many people have come across our path. Many left unchanged with hardened hearts towards the message of Jesus, but there were some who changed.

Those that changed will testify to what it means to accept Jesus, and the joy and peace that come from the acceptance. Constantly, I seek ways to let people see the greatness of living for Jesus. That is why I do ministry through everything I can.

I just do not understand why people do not accept Christ. It is rather interesting we lower our flags at half-staff when the Pope dies, but we lower our quality of attitude accepting something so much bigger than the Pope.
