How time flies by

Most people at Southern do not know me, unless you are a professor and I was in your class. I am Jason Kiefer and a 2001 graduate of what was then called Missouri Southern State College. I was the 2000-2001 Student Senate President and a Staff Assistant in the Residence Halls. I decided to write a letter to tell all the students young and old to enjoy your stay at Southern. As I sit at my house with my wife, seven year old step-son and two year old twins sons sleeping, I remenice on days past. When I was 18 years old I did not think of having a wife and kids by the time I was twenty-seven, but I would not change a thing for the world. And yes, I am twenty-seven but do think of my days at Southern as a positive choice. Because if it were not for Southern, I would not be where I am at today in my life. So I say to all the freshman to study hard, but play hard as well. And to the seniors graduating soon, take time to think of your life and where it will go after you leave Southern. And to those professor’s in Webster Hall for History, Political Science and Sociology what were you thinking giving me those grades? You grew my ego even further than what it was when I was down there!! Anyway, I bid a farewell for now and will write again soon.
