Bart Tatum will be announced as the new leader of the Lions’ football program.

Tatum has served MIAA rival Northwest Missouri State University for the past 12 years as assistant football coach. In that time, he has helped the Bearcats win two NCAA Division II championships and seven MIAA titles. Tatum holds bachelor’s degrees in history and physical education from Austin College (Sherman, Texas) and a master’s degree in teaching, also from AC. He also holds a master’s degree in kinesiology from Sam Houston State University (Huntsville, Texas) and a doctorate in education in educational leadership and policy analysis from the University of Missouri.
