Lot 39: Main Lot

DPS was contacted in regard to a student receiving cell phone text messages from an unidentified person. The student said a note had been placed on the student’s vehicle. The student also said it may be the same unidentified person who sent the text messages. DPS advised the student to report the messages to the Joplin Police Department.

Spiva Library

A DPS officer was dispatched in regard to a person who was viewing questionable pictures on the Internet. After being approached about what the person was viewing, the person became argumentive. The person was on MySpace and DPS advised the student library rules must be followed. The person was advised to use the first-floor computers.

Property Destruction

Lot 39: Main Lot

A DPS officer was contacted in reference to property destruction to a 1999 red Ford Mustang. The vehicle’s driver’s side rear fender was caved in. There were no signs it had been hit by another vehicle. It appeared someone had purposely caused the damage.
