Missouri Western is showing that sometimes, young doesn’t necessarily mean bad. Freshman quarterback Drew Newhart has been stellar this season and ranks among the MIAA’s best in most passing categories and Western is currently 5-2. Emporia State is struggling. After starting the season by ripping off three straight wins, the Hornets have dropped four straight and already have some saying ‘there is always next year.’ The Hornets have become one dimensional and, on some days, a one-man show on offense as sophomore quarterback Andre Sloan El is carrying this team.The Griffons have been playing good football all season and were even able to pull the upset over Pittsburg State earlier this year. The Hornets are a team looking for answers.Take Western to win this game handily.
