Erika Souza finished with a game high 27 points and led Southwest Baptist to an 89-80 win over Central Missouri in the first round of the MIAA Tournament.Behind Souza, sophomore forward Rachel Graves had 17 points and junior forward Courtney Creed tallied 14.Central, who finishes the season at 14-14, was led by senior guard Lindsey Maple. Maple finished with 20 points in her collegiate finale. The bright side to this for Central is that the future looks promising. Meanwhile, SBU shot an impressive 52.5% from the field, including an unreal 70.4% in the second half, and 90% from the charity stripe. SBU will take on Truman, who upset Emporia State in the opening round, in the semi-final on Saturday.
